Em pauta, a possibilidade de uma integra\u00e7\u00e3o com a zona franca da cidade peruana, por meio da constru\u00e7\u00e3o de uma ferrovia ligando os dois pa\u00edses. Embora ofere\u00e7am a possibilidade do envio de gr\u00e3os para a China via Oceano Pac\u00edfico, os custos para que a safra chegue ao Porto de Ilo seriam maiores do que o gasto com log\u00edstica com embarque no Porto de Santos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Isso porque a proposta apresentada passa pela constru\u00e7\u00e3o de 2 mil km de ferrovias, partindo do Brasil e passando pela Bol\u00edvia antes de chegar no Peru. \u201cO tra\u00e7ado apresentado passa pelo ponto mais alto da Cordilheira dos Andes, chegando a 4,5 mil metros de altitude. Para que esta obra ocorra seriam necess\u00e1rios construir 129 km em t\u00faneis, o que seria um grande desafio do ponto de vista log\u00edstico\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A proposta tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 considerada pelo diretor de Rela\u00e7\u00f5es Institucionais da Famato, Rog\u00e9rio Romanini, invi\u00e1vel economicamente. A afirma\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 respaldada pelo levantamento feito pela Se\u00e7\u00e3o Latino Americana da Uni\u00e3o Internacional de Ferrovias (UIC), no ano de 2015, que apontou que o custo do transporte de uma tonelada de soja de Lucas do Rio Verde at\u00e9 Xangai, na China, sai por US$ 120,43 se a mercadoria for embarcada no porto de Santos (SP). Saindo pelo porto de Ilo, no Peru, o frete sai a US$ 166,92. Uma diferen\u00e7a de US$ 46,49 por tonelada.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Para Edeon, a possibilidade de uso da regi\u00e3o de Tacna, que conta com uma zona franca e um porto existe, desde que os pre\u00e7os de frete sejam competitivos. \u201c\u00c9 uma quest\u00e3o puramente matem\u00e1tica. Se a ferrovia trouxer um pre\u00e7o bom para o produtor no gasto com o escoamento \u00e9 claro que haver\u00e1 demanda\u201d.
