O efetivo de bovinos, em 2015, foi de 215,20 milh\u00f5es de cabe\u00e7as, representando um aumento de 1,3% em rela\u00e7\u00e3o a 2014.<\/p>\n

No Gr\u00e1fico 1, pode-se observar a varia\u00e7\u00e3o anual do efetivo de bovinos no per\u00edodo de 2005 a 2015. A \u00faltima queda, em 2012 (-0,7%), ocorreu devido \u00e0 seca prolongada que atingiu o Pa\u00eds naquele ano. Desde ent\u00e3o, observa-se crescimento desse rebanho.<\/p>\n

O Centro-Oeste apresentou o maior n\u00famero de bovinos entre as Grandes Regi\u00f5es, com 33,8% da participa\u00e7\u00e3o nacional. \u00c9 uma regi\u00e3o com grandes propriedades destinadas \u00e0 cria\u00e7\u00e3o de bovinos e produtores especializados, possuindo clima, rele- vo e solo favor\u00e1veis \u00e0 atividade, como tamb\u00e9m grandes plantas frigor\u00edficas que t\u00eam impulsionado o abate de bovinos em larga escala. O Cartograma 1 ilustra a rela\u00e7\u00e3o entre o efetivo e o abate de bovinos nas 27 Unidades da Federa\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

\u00a0No comparativo com 2014, observou-se crescimento do efetivo de bovi- nos nas Regi\u00f5es Norte (2,9%), Centro-Oeste (2,1%) e Sudeste (0,7%). Na Regi\u00e3o Sul ele se manteve est\u00e1vel, e apenas na Regi\u00e3o Nordeste o n\u00famero de animais sofreu redu\u00e7\u00e3o (-0,9%).<\/p>\n

Os Estados de Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Goi\u00e1s, Mato Grosso do Sul e Par\u00e1 registraram os maiores efetivos de bovinos do Brasil: 13,6%; 11,0%; 10,2%; 9,9% e 9,4%, respectivamente, do total nacional.<\/p>\n

Nos \u00faltimos anos, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel observar um deslocamento da produ\u00e7\u00e3o de bovinos para o Norte do Pa\u00eds, o que se deve, em parte, aos baixos pre\u00e7os das terras, disponibilidade h\u00eddrica, clima favor\u00e1vel, incentivos governamentais e abertura de grandes plantas frigor\u00edficas. Em contrapartida, tem-se verificado estagna\u00e7\u00e3o da bovinocultura de corte nas Regi\u00f5es Sul e Sudeste, contribuindo para o deslocamento desta para as demais regi\u00f5es (Gr\u00e1fico 2).<\/p>\n

Em n\u00edvel municipal, os maiores efetivos estavam localizados em S\u00e3o F\u00e9lix do Xingu (PA), Corumb\u00e1 (MS), Ribas do Rio Pardo (MS), C\u00e1ceres (MT) e Marab\u00e1 (PA). Dentre os 20 munic\u00edpios com os maiores efetivos, 13 situavam-se no Centro-Oeste; cinco, no Norte; e dois, no Sul do Pa\u00eds. Em 2015, 5 529 munic\u00edpios apresentaram cria\u00e7\u00e3o de bovinos.<\/p>\n

De acordo com o Departamento de Agricultura dos Estados Unidos (United States Department of Agriculture \u2013 USDA), o Brasil deteve o segundo maior efetivo de bovinos, sendo respons\u00e1vel por 22,5% do rebanho mundial, atr\u00e1s apenas da \u00cdndia. O Pa\u00eds foi tam- b\u00e9m o segundo maior produtor de carne bovina, participando com 16,3% da produ\u00e7\u00e3o global. Os Estados Unidos (maior produtor mundial), o Brasil e a Uni\u00e3o Europeia, juntos, abarcaram cerca de 48,5% da carne produzida mundialmente. Em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 exporta\u00e7\u00e3o de carne bovina, o Brasil ocupou a terceira posi\u00e7\u00e3o do ranking internacional em 2015, sendo \u00cdndia e Austr\u00e1lia, respectivamente, os maiores exportadores.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
