Mato Grosso reduziu no ano de 2016 em 19% o desmatamento ilegal. A meta para 2017 \u00e9 que o percentual seja de 30%. O Estado tem como desafio zerar at\u00e9 2020 o desmate ilegal. Segundo o vice-governador e secret\u00e1rio de Estado de Meio Ambiente (Sema), Carlos F\u00e1varo, o produtor rural est\u00e1 mais consciente quanto \u00e0s consequ\u00eancias que a abertura de novas \u00e1reas de forma ilegal, principalmente no que tange ao mercado externo.<\/p>\n

A redu\u00e7\u00e3o de 19% na taxa de desmatamento no Estado consta no Monitoramento de Cobertura Vegetal da Secretaria de Estado de Meio Ambiente (Sema). O levantamento foi realizado no per\u00edodo entre agosto de 2015 e julho de 2016.<\/p>\n

Em dezembro de 2015, o governador Pedro Taques firmou compromisso na COP 21 (Confer\u00eancia Global do Clima, na Fran\u00e7a, de reduzir \u00e0 zero o desmatamento ilegal em Mato Grosso at\u00e9 2020.<\/p>\n

De acordo com o vice-governador e secret\u00e1rio de Meio Ambiente, Carlos F\u00e1varo, durante entrevista na r\u00e1dio Mega Fm, na manh\u00e3 desta sexta-feira, 20 de janeiro, o produtor rural est\u00e1 mais consciente quanto a quest\u00e3o do desmatamento ilegal, principalmente diante as consequ\u00eancias que tal a\u00e7\u00e3o pode trazer at\u00e9 mesmo para a visibilidade do Estado e do pa\u00eds no mercado externo.<\/p>\n

Hoje, h\u00e1 mercados que exigem que a soja e o gado, por exemplo, n\u00e3o sejam provenientes de \u00e1rea de desmate.<\/p>\n

\u201cO desmatamento hoje ocorre em pequenas \u00e1reas de at\u00e9 50 hectares e vamos trabalhar para reduzir a zero isso. O produtor sabe das consequ\u00eancias\u201d, destacou F\u00e1varo.<\/p>\n

F\u00e1varo lembrou ainda que conseguiu-se em oito meses de gest\u00e3o frente \u00e0 Sema a reduzir em 109 dias, ou seja, em 40% o prazo de libera\u00e7\u00e3o de licenciamento ambiental. “Esse prazo ainda n\u00e3o est\u00e1 bom e queremos diminuir ainda mais”.
